Spicer Bell is stepping down as president of the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.
He announced his retirement yesterday after seeing the organization through a period of growth in less than a decade.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that since Bell joined the Foundation in 2004, its assets have increased from $43 million to over $81 million.
Annual grants and scholarship awards rose from $1.9 million to $4 million.
Bell said that he had met his personal goals for the nonprofit agency and was eager to spend time with his family.
He will leave on July 31st.
