Sign Marking Lynchings in Salisbury

After erecting a plaque marking the location of the lynching of a black man in 1931 in downtown Salisbury, a Truth, Racial Unity, Transformation and Healing Advisor Committee was created. But, local rights groups say the city has not done its part to move the panel forward. Host Don Rush talks with Monica Brooks, president of the Wicomico County Branch of the NAACP, about her frustrations and what she would like to see going forward.

Don Rush is the News Director and Senior Producer of News and Public Affairs at Delmarva Public Media. An award-winning journalist, Don reports major local issues of the day, from sea level rise, to urban development, to the changing demographics of Delmarva.
