With the number of dead whales washing ashore there have been calls for a moratorium on the construction of offshore wind farms. But, scientists disagree with such an action. Host Don Rush talks with Dr. Brad Stevens, retired professor of Marine and Environmental Science at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, about the claim and host Bryan Russo discusses the prospects for offshore wind with Dave Wilson, Maryland Development Director of US Wind which acquired an 80,000-acre federal lease area off of the coast of Maryland in 2014.

Don Rush is the News Director and Senior Producer of News and Public Affairs at Delmarva Public Media. An award-winning journalist, Don reports major local issues of the day, from sea level rise, to urban development, to the changing demographics of Delmarva.
