It's been over a year since the fall of Kabul and scenes of thousands of Afghans crowding into the capital's airport. One of those who escaped with his family was Mohammad Azim Sarwari. They are the first Afghan refugees to be settled in Salisbury. Host Don Rush talks with him about how he was able to flee the country and what it has been like living in the United States.

Don Rush is the News Director and Senior Producer of News and Public Affairs at Delmarva Public Media. An award-winning journalist, Don reports major local issues of the day, from sea level rise, to urban development, to the changing demographics of Delmarva.
