Retired Ocean City Recreation and Parks Manager Al "Hondo" Handy has written an autobiography entitled "Defying Expectations: Family, Sports & Recreation". It recounts his journey as one of the first African American students to attend an all white school during integration on the Eastern Shore, a winner of basketball championships and his career at Ocean City. Host Bryan Russo sat down with him to talk about his extraordinary life. A book launch is set for September 24th, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the Residence by Marriott in Ocean City. Doors open at noon.
