Harold Wilson’s guest is Dr. Michael Murphy. In addition to being an emergency medical physician in the Delmarva area, Dr. Murphy is a long-time actor with The Community Players of Salisbury. In the Player’s theatrical presentation of Edgar Allan Poe: The Dark Side, an assembly of a number of Poe’s darker poems and stories, Dr. Murphy presented “The Tell-Tale-Heart.” One of Poe’s most popular horror stories. He recreated that presentation in Delmarva Public Media’s adaptation of the theatrical production for Delmarva Radio Theatre. Delmarva Today presents Dr. Murphey’s rendition of “The Tell-Tale-Heart” and host Harold Wilson discusses the story with Dr. Murphy who offers a clinical and a literary perspective on Poe's mad character.
