A new public opinion poll finds there is little difference in vaccine hesitancy between African Americans and whites in Maryland. It found that 36% of black residents were hesitant as opposed to 31% of whites. The findings come on the heels of Governor Larry Hogan blaming lagging vaccination rates in the African American community on hesitancy. Delmarva Public Media's Don Rush talked with Washington Post reporter Ovette Wiggins about the what the survey found.
