PBS Documenary Tonight on First Black PBS Variety Show

Mr. Soul! Documentary

Soul! was the first African American variety show airing on PBS in 1968 amidst the turmoil of the times. A new documentary Mr. Soul! about the program will air on PBS tonight. Delmarva Public Media's Don Rush talked with the show's director, producer and writer Melissa Haizlip. In segment one we began with the origin of the show.
