Passing of Former DPR Volunteer Penny Hartman

Former Delmarva Public Radio intern Henrietta “Penny” Hancock Hartman died at her home in Charleston, West Virginia on November 26, 2020. She was 78. Penny as she was known to the staff volunteered as a producer for Delmarva Today coming up with ideas and booking guests. She possessed an original wit and humor leading her to win an award for an essay from the Chesapeake AP Broadcasters Association. She was an energetic and kind person who had many other accomplishments including as a nurse, a pilot, a journalist and a prosecuting attorney. She will be missed. (Delmarvanow)
