Shop Local. That's the word from Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot who is urging holiday shoppers to help out their local businesses who have been hit by the economic downturn from the coronavirus pandemic. Franchot told Delmarva Public Media's Don Rush that he saw this as a citizen effort to help out now that the federal stimulus package has essentially run out.
