Delmarva Public Media Wins Two National Awards

Don Rush

Delmarva Public Radio received two awards this year from the Public Media Journalists Association.

The station’s news department won First Place for Enterprise Reporting for the series  “Central American Journey” that follows the path taken by two undocumented immigrants who made their way across the border. The stories were produced by Delmarva Public Media’s Don Rush with interviewing and translation assistance from Charito Calvachi-Mateyko.

The station's news department also won Second Place for Best Sports Feature which looked at the hockey team “Delaware Thunder” as it began its second season. The story was produced by Delmarva Public Media’s Don Rush.
