Rich Parents and the Academic Admissions Scandal (Part 1)

Book Cover

Most high school students must wait anxiously to find out if they have been accepted into their choice of university or college. But, some parents with enough money found a way to guarantee their admission. The end result was the biggest academic admissions scandal in the country. It's all recounted in a new book entitled, "Unacceptable: Privilege, Deceit and the Making of the College Admissions Scandal". The book is authored by two Wall Street Journalists Melissa Korn and Jennifer Levitz. Delmarva Public Media's Don Rush talked with Levitz about how the scandal came about. (Part 1)

Don Rush is the News Director and Senior Producer of News and Public Affairs at Delmarva Public Media. An award-winning journalist, Don reports major local issues of the day, from sea level rise, to urban development, to the changing demographics of Delmarva.
