Beebe Healthcare has a new President and CEO.
The Board of Directors named Dr. David Tam to head up the organization.
He most recently comes from the Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California where he was the Chief Operating Officer.
WBOC reports that the board chair David Herbert praised Tam for not only his credentials but also his hands on approach to leadership in connecting with the community.
He noted that Tam has been passionate about the social impact of health such as poverty, diversity and rural healthcare.
Tam also served as a captain in the U.S. Navy for 24 years.
