$9.5 Million Recovered by U.S. Attorney in Delaware

$9.5 million was taken for criminal and civil actions by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Delaware last year.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that most of that came through civil action amounting to $6.3 million.

That includes the recovery of money lost in criminal fraud and environmental crimes.

Over 52 percent came from two major case including one involving the obstruction of a U.S. Coast Guard investigation.

Other money recovered involved misconduct by individuals or corporate entities.
