For years Quinton Watson had allegedly sexually harassed and intimidated women on the New Castle County Police Department as he moved up the ranks.

That’s the conclusion of the Wilmington News Journal as a result of more than a dozen interviews that included former and current department officers and employees.

The New Journal said it launched a month’s long investigation into Watson after he was placed on administrative leave in August of last year after a complaint was filed.

That was just before his retirement.

The paper reported one woman alleged that she had been physically assaulted and sexually harassed repeatedly during the early years of her career.

Another claimed that Watson made unwanted sexual comments in front of the current police chief Vaughn Bond.

Watson did on respond to the papers calls for comment but has said in a voicemail reply that he did not harass anyone and that he has been targeted his entire career.

In addition, he it was a racist attempt to bring down New Castle’s first black police chief.
