Former OC Police Chief Featured in New Stephen King Novel

She was once the police chief in Ocean City.

Then she went on to become police chief of Sarasota.

But now Bernadette DiPino will be making the pages of Stephen King’s newest book called “The Institute”.

The novel features an ex-cop named Tim Jamiseson who tells readers that he once worked for Bernadette DiPino in Sarasota.

She told the Salisbury Daily Times that she is a big Stephen King fanand described her appearance as almost like winning an award.

DiPino has been named officer of the year three times and has had 16 commendations during her long career.

Her favor King Novel? The 1983 horror classic “Pet Sematary”.
