Over a million Marylanders are expected to be traveling more than 50 mile or more this Thanksgiving Weekend.
AAA says that would be a 2.2 percent increase over last year.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that 91 percent are expected to be motorists.
Meanwhile, the Maryland Department of Transportation says that it expects there to be 3.4 million travelers using the state’s highways, bridges and tunnels.
As for the Bay Bridge state officials told the paper that they expected 465-thousand vehicles to make the crossing.
But the state will continue to work through the Thanksgiving Holiday on a $27 million rehabilitation work on the bridge.
There will be cashless tolling in effect Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
