Clay Conaway has been sentenced to five years in prison after his fourth-degree rape conviction.

The 23-year-old former University of Delaware baseball player still faces additional rape accusations from five other women.

The incidents occurred between 2013 and 2018.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that he has also been sentenced to a year of home confinement and two years of probation with a GPS monitor.

In addition, he will have to undergo treatment, pay restitution and register as a sex offender.

During the sentencing hearing the victim said that the crime, trial and publicity has been traumatizing.

The state had argued for at least eight years in prison while defense attorneys asked for no jail time.
