Tueday Is Election Time for Salisbury Voters

It’s one last day of campaigning as the candidates for Mayor and City Council in Salisbury make their last pitch before tomorrow’s municipal election.

Incumbent Mayor Jake Day is facing Wayne King who describes himself as conservative Republican.

Meanwhile, there are five council seats with a number of incumbents including council president Jack Heath in District 3 who is being challenged by Riley Smith.

Three candidates are vying for District 4th that has been vacated by former Mayor Jim Ireton.

Candidates include Michelle Gregory, Carole Smith and Johnathan Taylor.

In District 5 there’s incumbent Angela Blake who is facing Shawn Jester.

District 1 finds incumbent April Jackson facing off against Timothy Sheppard and Mable Marshall.

Finally, incumbent Muir Boda in District 2 is running unchallenged.
