nasa.gov

Wallops Flight Facility is set for another rocket launch next Tuesday.

It’s called the Suborbital Technology Experiment Carrier-8.

WBOC reports that it will include distributed payload communications that will allow scientists to study different regions of space at the same time.

In addition, it will carry a low cost star tracker for point the rocket in the right direction.

There’s also a high data rate encoder that speed up the transmission of data four times faster than right now.

The launch window will run from 8 p.m. through mid-night.

Backup launch dates are Oct 23rd through the Oct. 27th.
