Senator Chris Coons knew four days before the Senate confirmed Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court that there was a new allegatio of sexual assault.
The Wilmington News Journal reports that the third incident involved an allegation by Max Stier CEO of an influential DC nonprofit told Coons he had witnessed the nominee exposing himself to a woman during a part at Yale University in the 1980’s.
Stier has declined to comment on the story.
The Delaware Democrat as a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee found the allegation credible and sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray asking that investigators talk with Stiers.
But the FBI did not contact Stiers.
The new claim came on the heels of allegations of sexual assault by Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez against Kavanaugh.
