The 46th Annual White Marlin Open gets underway today.
It runs from August 5th through the 9th and is billed as the largest and richest billfish tournament in the world.
Over 400 hundred boats have registered to win $6.1 million in prize money – a record for the tournament.
There is even a celebrity boat registered this year the Catch 23 owned by famed basketball player Michael Jordan.
The first day of fishing began at 8:30 a.m. this morning.
