Body Found in Bethany Beach Canal Identified as Missing Woman

The body of a woman found Friday night in a canal in South Bethany Beach has been identified as 70-year-old Linda Bravo who had been reported missing for weeks.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that police her death was from accidental drowning but they are still investigating.

Delaware State Police said that there was an accident involving her Mercedes that was traveling north on York Road when it entered the canal access ramp.

Authorities say it ran through the cable wire and entered the canal.

Bravo was last seen on June 13th at the Sea Colony.

The community began a search for her on June 22nd.
