wicomicoenvironment.org

A car sank in the Wicomico River yesterday afternoon near downtown Salisbury.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that Andrew Lunn jumped into the water and saved the 55-year-old driver who accidently backed into the river.

The Salisbury Fire Department is crediting the man’s quick thinking in saving the motorist.

Authorities say the driver suffered minor injuries.
