2nd Tornado Confirmed in Sussex County on Monday

There was a second tornado that touched down in Sussex County during this week’s storm.

The National Weather Service says it has confirmed that the tornado cut a path from Harbeson to Broadkill Beach on Mondayn.

WBOC reports that it has been classified as an EF 1 and struck around 4 a.m. with winds of around 100 mph.

It cut a swath of around 50 yards wide along a 6.2 mile trail.

The television station reports that there were no injuries.

The first tornado that hit Laurel has been classified as an EF2 which saw maximum speeds of 120 mph.
