Funeral Services Set for Michael Busch

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Funeral services have been scheduled for Maryland House Speaker Michael Busch.

His family announced Tuesday that the speaker will lie in repose in the rotunda of the Maryland State House next week. Public visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

A funeral service has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Neuman Church in Annapolis.

A reception honoring Busch will follow the service on Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Atkinson Tower at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

Busch, the longest-serving House speaker in the state's history, died Sunday at age 72. Busch was first elected to the House in 1986. He became speaker in 2003.
