It will be Comptroller Peter Franchot’s day in Baltimore as he is sworn in for another term.
This is instead of being sworn in at the State House in Annapolis.
Franchot received the highest number of votes for a statewide office in the history of the state.
And, there have been hints that the comptroller may being looking at a run for the governorship.
Franchot has said he would look at it a few years down the road.
Meanwhile, Republican Governor Larry Hogan will swear in the longtime Democrat.
Also on hand to speak will be Salisbury Mayor Jake Day among other dignitaries.
