The town of Smyrna wants to be prepared for the next big thing when it comes to attracting new businesses.

It missed out on Amazon’s plans for another headquarters but it has begun work on the Duck Creek Business Campus on the north side of town.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that officials say it has the potential to attract up to 4-thousand jobs.

These include occupations in industries ranging from research and manufacturing to warehousing over the next 20 years.

The paper reports that the project will be spread out over 206 acres and located between U.S. Route 13 and Delaware Route 1.

It is being developed by KRM Development Corporation.
