Kathleen Davies has won her appeal to return to as chief administrative auditor in Delaware.
That’s according to the Wilmington News Journal.
She had been fired by outgoing Auditor Tom Wagner after she was accused of misconduct.
The paper reports that according to a report it obtained she was accused of signing documents in Wagner’s name, accessing his email and creating a hostile work environment.
She strenuously denied the claims
Meanwhile Wagner announced yesterday that he had appointed state auditor-elect Kathy McGuiness as his deputy.
That post was held by Republican James Spadola whom she defeated in the November election.
Ironically Davies lost to McGuiness coming in second in the Democratic Primary…and McGuiness told the paper that she did not realize Davies would be working under her.
McGuiness starts her new job today a month before officially taking over the office.
