The U.S. 13 Dragway and Delaware International Speedway in Delmar saw a man seriously injured in a crash.
Police say the 34-year-old was driving a 1995 Ford Mustang drag car when he tried to make a time run and lost control of the vehicle.
The Wilmington News Journal reports that police say he hit the finish line post and spun into a barrel roll… before winding up on the car’s roof.
The man was helicoptered out and taken to Christiana Hospital.
The dragway was closed for the rest of the weekend.
