TOWNSEND, Del. (AP) - A fire has destroyed a popular Delaware farm market and sent one firefighter to a hospital.
A spokesman for the Townsend Fire Company tells The News Journal that the firefighter was being treated for "stress-related injuries" and was in stable condition after battling Monday's fire at Willey Farms.
Assistant state fire marshal Michael Chionchio says the blaze broke out at the Townsend business started shortly after 2 a.m. and was still smoldering six hours later.
The state fire marshal's office will investigate the cause of the fire at the 125,000-square-foot building, which collapsed.
