Three people have been bitten by foxes in Onancock that are suspected of having rabies.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that two were captured and are now being tested for the disease.

But the paper reports that authorities are not sure that the ones that have been sent for testing are the same ones involved in the two incidents because those ran off.

Two gray foxes that appeared in town did show signs connected with rabies.

Health officials say that people should get in touch if they have come into contact with a wild animal.

And they urge people to let officials know if their pet has come into contact with the fox or other wild animals.
