Maryland to Adopt New Asssessment Test

creative commons

Maryland public schools will be moving to a shorter statewide assessment test for students.

State superintendent Karen Salmon says that the system will be using the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program which is still in development.

It will replace the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers adopted in 2015.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that Lower Shore school systems will be using the older test until the new assessment exam comes out in late 2019.

The testing dates will vary for each school system.
