Detour for I-95 Near Claymont

creative commons

If you’re driving up on the northbound lanes of I-95 in  Claymont expect a detour by mid-day.

The Delaware Department of Transportation is expected to divert traffic off the interstate while work crews inspect the Naamens Road span.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that the department says amount of time for the detour could take up to six hours.

Meanwhile, drivers will use I-495 as an alternate.

The southbound lanes are expected to be closed except for one lane.
