New Delaware Law for Caring for Feral Cat Colonies

creative commons

There’s a new Delaware law that allows for the care of feral cats colonies.

But WBOC reports that the measure requires that they get sterilized and vaccinated.

This allows cats to be sent into the wild by caretakers who are not owners.

The television station reports that the measure is aimed at preventing the relocation of feral cats to coastal areas that are visited by migratory birds.

This includes Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge and Fort DuPont.
