Lead Found in Water at Pittsville School

Don Rush

The water at Pittsville Elementary and Middle school has been found to contain lead.

It’s the fourth such positive test in Wicomico County schools.

WBOC reports that officials believe some of the fixtures are made of lead leading to the contamination.

But the school district says it has a plan to fix the problem.

Officials say they will retest the water for lead levels in September before students return to school.
