Delaware Casinos Do Well with Sports Betting

The Delaware casinos did well last month when it comes to sports betting.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that the Delaware Lottery reports they did more than $7 million in sports betting at the three casinos in the state.

Sports betting did not begin until June 5th with the current figures only through June 24th.

The paper reports that Delaware Park did the best with $5.2 million while Dover Downs saw $1.1 million in betting.

Harrington Raceway came in third with $590-thousand.

From the total sales the state pulled in over $875-thousand in revenue after paying vender fees.

Delaware Lottery director Vernon Kirk told the News Journal that number was higher than expected.
