If you’re planning on riding the Cape May-Lewes Ferry next month expect to pay an extra dollar per vehicle trip.

The surcharge will run through the end of June and is to pay for the rising fuel costs.

WBOC reports that the Delaware River and Bay Authority emphasizes that the extra buck is only per vehicle not for each passenger.

Officials say that those who have already placed their reservations will not be charge the extra dollar.

The television station reports that the last time there was a surcharge was in March of 2014.
