The Delaware House of Representatives has approved a ban on bump stocks by a vote of 34-to-4.
The devices increase the rate of fire power for semi-automatic weapons.
The vote breaks a six week deadlock over the legislation.
And the bill now goes back to the state Senate.
The Wilmington News Journal reports that the new version eases the penalties for possessing a bump stock but keeps the sale and purchase of the device a felony.
One amendment also includes $15-thousand for a state-sponsored buy-back program.
