Winds and Raid Hit Delmarva

all-free-download

Get ready for the winds.

Marylanders should expect rain and some damaging winds that blow across the state tonight and tomorrow.

The National Weather Service says residents should expect winds of up 60 miles an hour.

The Maryland Emergency Management Agency is now monitoring the storm and is working with state and local officials in preparation.

Agency Executive Director Russ Strickland told the Salisbury Daily Times that that storm has the potential to knock down trees, cause extensive power outages and cause dangerous debris.

In addition, there is the possibility of some snow in Western Maryland with tidal flooding along the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

Winds should slacken to 55 mph this evening and 50 mph  by Saturday.

Also expect a 60 percent chance of showers today with possible snow showers later this evening.
