Book Banned by Delaware School District is Now a Film

biopic

The Miseducation of Cameron Post is now a movie being shown at the Sundance Film Festival. Author Emily Danforth tells the story of a teenage lesbian who is sent to a conversion therapy center. The book was originally taken off the 9th grade reading list of the Cape Henlopen School District. Delmarva Public Radio's Don Rush spoke with Danforth at the time of the controversy in 2014.

Don Rush is the News Director and Senior Producer of News and Public Affairs at Delmarva Public Media. An award-winning journalist, Don reports major local issues of the day, from sea level rise, to urban development, to the changing demographics of Delmarva.
