Wicomico County Executive Salary Could Go Up

Don Rush

Under a new set of recommendations the salary of the Wicomico County Executive could go from $85-thousand to $130-thousand a year.

The Compensation and Allowance Commission found that the county executive salary is “woefully undercompensated”.

The commission compared the county executive to a CEO with a budget of $140-million and nearly a thousand employees.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that county executive salaries in Maryland range from $98-thousand to over $206-thousand.

For county sheriff the commission recommended an increase from $95-thousand to $105-thousand a year.
