A boater was rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard yesterday afternoon at around 12:30 p.m. near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports the Coast Guard says that the boater had suffered a seizure.

Authorities arrived on the scene about 15 minutes after receiving a call from someone on the Miss Jones – a 23 foot Boston Whaler.

The man had MS and was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated.

The paper reports that his condition is unknown.
