The downtown branch of the Wicomico Public Library has seen completion the first phase of renovation.
The restrooms last updated in 1980 have been replaced bringing them up to code to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
In addition, the library received new flooring.
The second phase will modernize the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system.
That work is expected to start in the next few months.
Funding for the work comes from Wicomico County and a grant from the Maryland Capital Grants for Libraries Program.
