A Delaware Medical Relief Team is heading to the Caribbean Island of Dominica to help with aid efforts after it was hit by Hurricane Maria.
On Monday they were packing supplies ranging from bikes and wheel chairs to canned goods, a gas generator and medicines.
The Wilmington News Journal reports that at least 10 members of the team are expected to be on the island by this afternoon.
More reinforcements are expected in the weeks to come.
They were last sent to Nepal in 2015 after it was struck by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake that left more than 6-thousand dead and nearly 14-thousand injured.
