A Cape Henlopen school bus crash has left 26-year-old Milton man in critical condition.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon at the intersection of Coastal Highway and Reynolds Road.

Police say the man was driving north on Route 1 in a Chrysler Sebring.

A 73-year-old Milford man driving a Blue Bird school bus was waiting to turn onto Route 1 when after some maneuvering the Chrysler entered the crossover and struck the bus on the right side.

The driver of the Chrysler had to be freed by firefighters from the Milton Fire Company.

Two students were on the bus at the time of the crash.
