WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington police say a 5-year-old girl was taken to a hospital after being struck by gunfire.

Police said in a statement Monday night that officers responded around 5 p.m. to a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they were directed to a house, where the girl was found suffering from an apparent gunshot graze wound to her lower right leg.

The girl was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital in good condition.

No one was in custody early Tuesday, and an investigation is ongoing.
