Searching for Sharks

all-free-download.com

The search for sharks is on.

The vessel named the M/V OCEARCH has been out plowing the waters looking for them off the southern coast of Delaware.

It’s a research effort that tracks them in the Atlantic waters.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that researchers say the most common type found in the Delaware and Maryland waters is the sand tiger shark.

Delaware environmental officials say three other species frequently seen include the smooth dogfish, the spiny dogfish and the sandbar shark.

The paper reports that around 100 million sharks are killed by humans each year worldwide.
