Salisbury Drive-By Shooting Leaves One Injured

A drive-by shooting in Salisbury sent on person to the hospital last night.

The injuries are described as non-life threatening.

The incident occurred on the 300 block of Maryland Avenue around 9:30 p.m. when an unknown suspect began shooting from his vehicle at the 20-year old male who was standing near his home.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that victim after being struck in his lower extremities was able to run from the area.

At the same time, police say, the vehicle also left the scene.

The victim was treated at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.

Police say a search for the vehicle was unsuccessful.
