HENRICO, Va. (AP) - Authorities in Henrico County have arrested two teenagers who they say dressed up as clowns and chased after children.

The Henrico County Police Division tells local news outlets that they've arrested 18-year-old Kevin Marquis Craddock on charges including wearing a mask in public and assault. A 17-year-old male has been referred to juvenile intake for consideration of the same charges.

Police responded to reports of two individuals with clown masks chasing children on Wednesday. After receiving a description of the vehicle associated with the suspects, officials located the car and identified the teenagers.

The arrests have come amid reports of clown sightings that have scared people in several states.
